Alpi is the brand new sock yarn from Fibre Gentili. A premium woolen-spun blend, that brings together the noble Gentile di Lucania wool with an innovative fibre recovered from the Mediterranean Sea. The Gentile sheep from the Lucania region of Italy are ancestor of the Merino sheep, with a history dating back to Roman times. The nylon which adds durabillity to these sock yarns is recycled from plastics retrieved from the Mediterranean sea.
