Celeste Mittens

This is a printed A5 pattern booklet which if ordered online will be posted to you.

The Celeste Mittens are worked from the wrist up. The thumb is worked at the end. The mittens are worked either on a long circular needle using the Magic Loop technique or on double-pointed needles.

Size guide

Use a measuring tape to measure around your hand at the knuckles. The sizes 3-6 years (6-10 years) S (M) L fit an approximate hand circumference of 14-15 (15-17) 17-18 (18-20) 20-22 cm [5½-6 (6-6¾) 6¾-7 (7-7¾) 7¾-8¾ inches].

Sizes: 3-6 years (6-10 years) S (M) L

Mitten length: 21 (23) 26 (27) 29 cm [8¼ (9) 10¼ (10¾) 11½ inches]

Gauge: 22 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in colorwork pattern on a 4 mm [US 6] needle

22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in stockinette stitch on a 3.5 mm [US 2½] needle

Needles: 3 mm [US2½], 3.5 mm [US4] and 4 mm [US6] / 80 cm [32 inches] circular needles if using the Magic Loop technique, or 3 mm [US2½], 3.5 mm [US4] and 4 mm [US6] double-pointed needles

Materials: Pattern color 1 (color for rib cuff, thumb and top): approx. 32 (40) 48 (54) 62 g DK weight yarn such as Rauma Fivel

Pattern color 2: approx. 8 (10) 12 (15) 16 g DK weight yarn such as Rauma Fivel

Pattern color 3: approx. 4 (6) 8 (10) 10 g DK weight yarn such as Rauma Fivel

Pattern color 4: approx. 6 (8) 14 (16) 18 g DK weight yarn such as Rauma Fivel

Pattern color 5: approx. 4 (4) 5 (6) 8 g DK weight yarn such as Rauma Fivel
