In this two hour class you will learn to knit beautiful cables, with knitwear designer Rebecca Clow AKA The CreaBea. You will learn to knit simple cables such as those used in her Lauder and Dornie designs.
You will learn how to read cable charts, use a cable needle to make textured cables, how to make cables that twist left and right. You will leave the class with several swatches with the ability to follow patterns that use simple cables
Materials & requirements
You will need to bring:
- A cable needle and 5 mm knitting needles
- Stitch holders or scrap yarn to hold unfinished swatches.
- A notebook and pen
Experience
This class is for advanced beginners and intermediate knitters who are confident in casting on and off, working in knit and purl and can "read" their knitting for mistakes.

Please arrive 5- 10 minutes early so you have time to get settled and get refreshments.

There is one shallow step into the shop and two steps into the studio with a secure hand rail. Please call or email if you have access requirements.
Rebecca Clow
Rebecca is a knitter and knitwear designer from Edinburgh, Scotland, well known from her Creabea Knitting Podcast she released her first pattern in October 2022 as a challenge to see how hard it was to produce a size-inclusive design. She designs garments and accessories that are fun and engaging to knit and slot into a modern wardrobe.
