Learn to make a perfectly fitting top-down sweater.
In two 3-hour classes you will learn all the skills you need to knit a top down tee or sweater that actually fits! With two weeks between classes, you'll have plenty of time to work on the skills you learn in week one ready to learn the next steps in week two.
Taught by Rebecca Clow, an Edinburgh based knitwear designer and podcaster, using her versatile Tolsa Tee pattern.
In this class you will learn:
Week 1
How to take the correct measurements and read a pattern to get the fit you want. Swatching to make gauge. Casting on and joining in the round and yoke shaping.
Week 2
In the second class you'll learn how to divide the sleeves and body, casting off. Picking up to knit your sleeves. Blocking and finishing.
Experience
This class is for confident knitters who can cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases. It is perfect for you if you are curious about top-down sweater construction but have never made a garment this way before, or if the garments you make never quite fit how you want.
