Make Brioche Motifs – 6th March 2027, morning

Take your Brioche knitting skills to the next level! In this workshop, Samira will teach you
how to move and manipulate Simple Brioche lines to create undulating, intricate and
complex motifs using various shaping techniques. 

You must be confident working in two-coloured brioche knitting to attend this workshop. If you have attended Samira's Learn Brioche class in January, you will have learnt all the skills needed to move onto this class.

You will also need (bring your own or available to purchase):

• 4mm circular needle, 40cm long
  
• Two 50g balls aran weight wool yarn in two contrasting colours - one light & one darker (but not too dark so you can see your stitches)

Small class size

With only six people in the class you will receive individual attention so that you learn to follow brioche motif patterns and go away confident in the skills you need to tackle more complex brioche patterns.

Date, time and location

• Saturday 6th March 2027 10 am - 1 pm

Please arrive around 5 - 10 minutes before the start of the class so you have time to get settled and get refreshments. As this a half day class, there will not be a scheduled break during the teaching time.

Samira Hill is a former professional archaeologist based in the beautiful Scottish Borders. After spending years digging and traveling around the world (always with her knitting), Samira has been teaching knitting and crochet professionally to all ages, from primary school children to adults since 2013. Samira teaches most aspects of knitting and crochet both online  and in person throughout Scotland, and loves to empower crafters with new skills and not to be deterred by techniques that “look hard”.

When not teaching, Samira is a published designer of knitting, crochet and Tunisian crochet patterns as Eildon Hills Designs, with her patterns featured in UK and worldwide publications such as The Journal of Scottish Yarns, Moorit Magazine, and Knitting Magazine, as well as self-published patterns on Ravelry. Samira is also a knitting and crochet technical editor for various independent designers and prestigious knitting and crochet publications, including the Shetland Wool Week Annual and the Journal of Scottish Yarns. Samira is also the organiser of the annual Tangled Galashiels Fibre Festival in the Scottish Borders.
