Vams is Rauma's bulky yarn, made from Norwegian wool, carded and spun to make a lofty yarn that traps warm air. Soft and lightweight, this is a yarn that is perfect for beginners. Despite being lightly spun, because Rauma use wool from adult fleece with a longer staple than lambswool it reduces pilling on finished garments.

Rauma

Rauma have been making yarns since 1927. They started in a fishing hut by a fjord nestled in the mountains of northern Norway. In the century since, they have grown to a factory employing over 60 people, using traditional techniques to produce light and airy yarns from predominantly Norwegian wools.
